This requires having a detailed awareness of competitors, and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. Intel’s Andy Grove famously stated that “Only the paranoid survive.” We find that a healthy level of competitive paranoia also characterizes the seed companies that reach highly competitive Series A rounds.
