Feature Friday: Friendly Failing – AVC

There’s a lot to learn from the way Instagram handles this experience. They save the action you wanted to do in its entirety, and they keep the app in that state until you choose to try it again, or choose to exit out on your own.

Smartphone Socio-economics – AVC

The iPhone has locked up the top end of the market for sure. The rest of the world is on Android (and Blackberry and Windows to a lesser degree). Developers of mobile apps need to keep this in mind when they choose which platforms to develop for.

If you’re in a mobile business, you’d better be thinking about privacy | A Founder’s Notebook

If you’re in a mobile business, you’d better be thinking about privacy. Forrester will publish a survey this week in which 62 percent of respondents say they would be “not at all likely” to repeat a purchase from a company that shared their personal information with a data broker
